5 Fall Style Trends to Try this Season

By: Caitlin Reddington

Whether you’re heading to work, spending a relaxing day at home, or meeting up with family or friends for dinner, incorporating some of the latest styles into your outfits is an easy way to upgrade your look while keeping comfort top of mind.

I’ve scoured the web to round up the clothing trends that everyone’s talking about – from Vogue and StyleCaster to Instagram and TikTok. Good news: when it comes to trends, there are countless options to fit into your look, so you can try the latest styles, without sacrificing what you know works best for you.

Shacket

Fun to say and even more fun to wear, the shacket is a combo of a flannel shirt and jacket. Offered in many patterns, it has the look and feel of a flannel, but the thickness and warmth of a typical, fall jacket. Pair with everything from leggings and jeans to a form-fitting dress.

Wide-Leg Pants

Commonly worn in a high-waisted variation, wide-leg pants are now seen in denim, cotton, and wool fabrications this season. Pair with a graphic tee for a relaxed look or a silky button up shirt or blazer for a more elevated outfit.

Trench Coat

New leather variations add a modern twist to a classic staple we all know and love. Hey, if leather isn’t your thing, sporting a tan trench is just as stylish. Plus, this is a piece you can continue to wear for years to come.

Loafers

Going along with many menswear-inspired styles that are popular this season, loafers have turned into a go-to shoe for so many people. Whether you’re wearing a dress, skirt, or pants, this style of shoe matches so well with just out any look.

Ballet Flats

Flats are having a major moment. The shoe that completely dominated the mid 2000s is back with an even more ballet feel, if that’s even possible. Following the ballet core trend, which includes wrap skirts, bodysuits, and shrugs, ballet flats are being spotted in traditional styles and variations with square toes and ribbons. Add these shoes to denim or dress looks.

Have fun with your style this season and try incorporating a new trend into your looks.
